Publishing Activities of the Moscow Transport Museum
The Publishing Department of the Moscow Transport Museum was established as an independent unit on January 1, 2023, following the initiative of the museum’s research sector and with the support of Director Oksana Bondarenko. However, the museum had already been actively publishing, with notable works including Thoughts on Labor—a multi-volume memoir of Alexander Andronov (chief designer at MZMA/AZLK from 1949 to 1972), Eco-ABC—an educational book inspired by the museum’s Green Line project, and the exhibition catalog A Muscovite’s Dream, dedicated to the legendary Moskvich car brand.

The museum’s publishing work is closely linked to its research, curatorial, and educational activities, ensuring the continuity of historical and cultural discourse. Our publications serve as a bridge for knowledge preservation and public engagement, contributing to the broader appreciation of transport heritage. We actively collaborate with professionals from the publishing, science, technology, and arts sectors, expanding our reach beyond transportation to include themes relevant to contemporary museum research.
